Run
Comments: Overall the run went well. I did let myself become dehydrated and that hit me at about mile 20 where I had to start walking to the next aid station. I slugged down about five cups of fluids and within another quarter mile of walking I got my run back and was able to finish off the race at a decent run pace. What would you do differently?: I needed to stay on top of my hydration needs better. Post race
Warm down: Immediate fluids and a lunch combining both protien and carbs. Light stretching and a warm shower. What limited your ability to perform faster: I didn't drink enough at the aid stations. Event comments: Runners World rated this race as one of the best small races in the U.S., I'd have to say I agree. Last updated: 2006-01-05 12:00 AM
