When a friend of mine was growing up in western Maryland he and two of his brothers cornered a racoon under the front porch. The youngest brother ran up to their grandfather and told him: "We have somthing trapped under the porch we think it is a democrat." Years later the old man told me that was one of his fondest memories.

We made a home video with my husband sitting our border collie down and presenting her options and asking her who she would vote for, with each candidate represented by a toy. He won't let me post it on YouTube.
