Subject: Survey - technology and wearables in triathlons
I'm a student at MIT and am studying the proliferation of fitness wearables and technology in endurance sports (running, cycling, etc). I would really appreciate it if you spend 3-4 mins to fill it out as it will provide me with extremely valuable information!

thanks,

That was cool. Good luck with data collection.

I have to tell you, I tried taking it, but the answers to the questions were so limited that I stopped because most of them just didn't cover my situation. For example, the question about whether I carry a smart phone is "sometimes" or "it depends", not "yes" or "no".

Yes--There's no choice for, "I am the only person on the planet who does not have a smart phone." That would be me. My phone is a dumb phone. I bought it because it was purple. It makes phone calls. No apps need apply. I have a computer and an I-pad for that kind of stuff, that I can actually see and manipulate.

I also don't have a smart phone. I love technology, but I'm not paying those huge data fees when I can get wifi pretty much anywhere. I love my flip phone, it has a qwerty keyboard for txts, the battery lasts a week+, its small enough to fit in a normal pocket, and it's semi-inscrutable.
