Subject: RE: Zwift and others? I have both TrainerRoad and Zwift. If you want to follow a structured training plan, TrainerRoad is the way to go IMO. I, however, find myself on Zwift quite a bit since it's more entertaining if you're not in "training mode". I still get a good workout on Zwift and I do push myself (to pass people, maintain a certain wattage, do well in sprints) but it's not structured. Zwift does have a library of workouts you could use, but it's no where near as robust as TrainerRoad. Bottom line, if I was training for a specific race or fitness level (FTP) I'd use TrainerRoad. If I just wanted to maintain or improve fitness in a less structured way, and have some fun while doing so, Zwift is a nice option. That's why I have both! |
