Subject: RE: McDonald’s not amused by royal quip...Super size me is eye opening to the vast majority of the public. This is a sad statement. Yes, it was not surprising to me or to any of my athletically minded people, but there are people, a large percent of our nation, that dont work out, that dont think about eating carbs/protein/fat in specific proportions, that dont think they should know what crap they put in their bodies. I teach kids in my class that eat at McD's or other fast food 4 times or more a week- nobody, especially their parents, have ever taught them about the importance of eating quality food. They think this type of eating is normal. Its so sad, so very sad. I always get so amazed when I talk to people and actually tell them what they eat as far as the cals and stuff go. Thats why so many people are fat in the country. Look at the newest chain restaurant report- a cheesecake that has more calories than i get in an entire day!- but most people dont think about that because they understand food. Go out and ask a 'normal' person, not a workout/fitness minded person, about how any calories they get in a day, ask them about how much they would burn if they did 20 minutes of exercise- they'll be way off every time. I can go on about this forever!...
