Subject: Stock Road bike that's fitted with aero bars and forward seat post
My question/statement to the triathlete community: Is there a bike manufacturer that makes, as a stock bike, a road bike but that's fitted with aero bars and a forward seat post? If I'm not alone, and I don't think I am, there are many of us triathletes who want a road bike, but at the same time, also desire some of the advantages of a triathlon bike. After all, most people with limited funds, like myself, are forced to buy a road bike as their one and only bike, instead of getting a triathlon bike. Moreover, I see many posts from people interested in getting aero bars and the like. Anyone have any thoughts/comments about bike manufacturers making a stock road bike fitted for triathlon racing? Thanks.

I recently read a post somewhere about a road bike with interchangeable geometry for the seat post angle etc. Now it's going to drive me crazy to try and find it.

Cervelo  soloist
or
Kestrel Talon

Either one can be set up as a road or tri-ish bike.

There may be more, but these two spring immediately to mind

Steven, you might be thinking of the Cervelo Soloist, which is a road bike equipped (as is much of Cervelo's line) with a reversible seatpost to alter the geometry fom road to triathlon.

Doesn't come stock with aerobars, but it's <$100 DIY addition.

I ride a Kestel Talon. I love it!! Tri bike in Summer, Road bike in Winter. I don't necessarily subscribe to all the talk that you must have a tri bike to go fast. Chris McCormack races ironman on the Talon SL, and has a sub 8hr at the Roth Challenge in Germany.

I'm pretty sure Giant made a TT-style bike fitted with bullhorns and aerobars a few years ago, one of the TCR compact geometry road bikes, and I believe it also had an aero seatpost that you could flip around for foreward-seating. It may have been the Team ONCE bike, pretty high-end.
I have the 2005 catologue here, but it has no such animal listed.

That would be the TCR Aero, I have one, and i had to fit a thompson setback seat post (turned around) to get a nice steep angle. It still handles well.
