If your bike gets rained on during a training session/race, is there anything extra you need to do when caring for the bike to prevent damage (i.e. lubing the chain)? Or do you just wipe the whole thing down and hang it back on the wall?

I normally wipe down the entire bike, and clean/re-lube the chain.

You don't have walls inside?Cool

I generally wash mine and clean/relube the chain. One think you have to be aware of is the slpash from the road surface contains an abundance of grit particles that will act as an emery solution on your drivetrain.

I do all of the above, but also remove the seatpost and hang the bike upside down over night.

I treat the bike as I do after any long ride - wash and wax the frame, relube the drivetrain, double check the adjustments on brakes and shifters, and a quick spin of the wheels to see if they are still reasonably trued. Though probably the only things I need to do are re-lube and dry off the frame.

Wipe the water off, re-wax the chain...

After it's dry, use some Scotch-Brite on the rims and clean off the brake pad/grinding compound, and pick out grit sand off any glaze from the brake pads.
