Subject: Wetsuit too tight?
I am planning on barrowing a friends wetsuit for an upcoming triathlon. I am 5'7" and weigh about 170 pounds, the wetsuit is a Sleeveless Quintana Roo size MS-Short which is listed for someone who is between 5'4"-5'7" & 140-150 pounds.

I have heard that the height is more important than the weight, but also that weight is more important. Any thoughts on if this wetsuit will work for me or any potential problems would be much appreciated.

Why not try it on and even try it for a swim!  Laughing  If it feels way too tight or really constricts your breathing, try renting one or look for a deal on craigslist or Ebay.

Just your description, seems too small. Like the previous poster, just try it on, jump into a pool, and swim a bit. Make sure you rinse it off afterwards.

Also, the wetsuit will feel tighter dry because it expands in the water, sortof like the concept how a spong expands when wet but not to that extreme.

I hadnt really thought much about it, but now that you mention it, I may need to go for a run.

But to improve your mental image. Goes up to the waist no problem, but it is just like in the cartoons when they they to zip an over packed suitcase...Might be a little to snug.

Just tri it!  Everyone is built different, you never know.  And you certainly have the best shot with a sleeveless.  However my hunch is, after ordering 5 wetsuits to find one to fit, it will be too small and very uncomfortable for the swim.
