congratulations for finishing within your goal time, especially since you're fighting something off. doing anything while sick is no fun ('cept maybe sipping soup in bed while watching a movie...and a half-marathon in the cold is about as far from that as you can get!). again, congrats.

Oh Leah,

Sorry to hear that you were sick. You still finished in a great time though. You've beat my half marathon PB.

Blisters suck. Where are yous - closer to the toe or closer to the arch? Do you have any other pain in your feet? When you take off your shoes and put them on something level, do they stay straight up (90 degrees) or do they turn in at all? These are some things that my podiatrist checked. Did you ever try Thorlo lightweight running or tennis socks (level 2)?

Still great race. Now take a few days off.

Bummed??
You did awesome!
You were sick and still managed to push on through.
It can only get easier. With this race you will be able to go back into your vault durning you 1/2 I/M that you do and say"remember that half last year when I was sicker than ever and still managed to beat the time I wanted? This race is nothing!" Use this race as motivation! Running all the hills and being sick = Big time guts! WOW!!!
Good luck on your next!
