Subject: RE: Road Rash and the poolstevebradley - 2009-08-14 7:14 PM I stayed away for about two weeks, but that was mostly out of deference to the other people who use the pool and might've been freaked. Mine was fairly extensive, and looked pretty grisly for quite a while. It was also easy for me to stay away because I suffered a separted shoulder in the crash as well. I knew I could get in and do sculling and one-arm stuff, however, so I think about 75% of my staying away was out of respect for the other pool-users - with the other 25% being avoidance of severe tedium! You sound like me. I'm dealing with this now and the separated shoulder is keeping me away more than the road rash. Having said that, if I didn't have a separated shoulder I would still stay out as long as your wounds are oozing. Its been 9 days and some of mine are still oozing (they were pretty deep...hit the road at 26mph according to Garmin ) but am planning on hitting the pool as soon as they are closed up. |
