is how long into my ride, this morning, for a car to pass me. Granted, I probably MET 15-20 cars during that span, but I had ZERO behind me that whole time. I was pleasantly amazed by the lack of traffic. If only every ride was like that. I was 1:24:10 into my ride before #2 passed...a car, people, not what you're thinking of. ;o)

The roads I was on are not the most heavily traveled (SE Wisconsin), but it's not like you'll be left for dead if you get stranded on them.

Yep, I do my longer early morning rides on Sunday, too, for that reason. One of my quietest rides was on Easter Sunday. The weather was perfect that day, too.

I wish you could find those in SoCal.

The little known traveled roads in SoCal are traveled often by people who want to get away from it all leaving very few roads over 25 miles that have little to no traffic.
