Swimming Season

Depends how cold is too cold for you! LOL!

I have friends that start as early as April and I would guess by October its pretty much done.

I was in Lake Hayward in Colchester in April.  It was cold but manageable.

^^^^^^^^^^what Erica said..I have swam* in Niantic Bay up until mid October as well. Im sure if the air temp stays warm enough you could probably swim in the lake up until November

*all of these were with a full wetsuit btw!

You could always wear a hood. I swam till early Nov last year.

I think it boils down to two things:

1) What the weather is/was like leading up to spring/winter -- will obviously be different each year
and
2) What your tolerance for cold is.

Of course, things like a full wetsuit and neoprene cap/gloves/booties should help.
