Wow, pretty cool! But yea, like you said, everything else that state does is completely backwards, so a June/July time frame would make perfect sense.

Logically speaking, early June would fit nicely between IM Texas (May 21st) and IM CDA (June 26).  That being said, it probably won't happen that way (if at all).

This really only works well if they get the full 70.3 though.  With Charlotte rumored to get a IM 70.3 and Augusta already having a IM 70.3, plus the new Rev3 race half, plus Charleston/South Carolina setupevents halfs, it doesn't make sense for another 70.3 in the area.  That said, I think the idea of a full is a good idea for the spring (not sure if SC has a 140.6 anywhere).

Oh man, a full in SC would be awesome!

I'd be all over that, regardless of time of year.

Interesting- I used to live in Augusta and have done a few races in Columbia. If they were smart then they would plan for a fall IM and that way you could use the Augusta 70.3 as a tune up race.
