I'm not even sure how to react to this.  Talk about an agency not doing their job.  Maybe it's a sign they are understaffed, but I for one do not buy it.  If you can't perform your job, it may be a sign that your policies are out of whack and you need to simplify things to be successful.  

Also, if you are giving people money (or refunds), check your facts so we don't "give away money".

It's things like this that make people look down on government employees. (This from someone who is one)

Employees need better training... WTF??? A computer can flag 25,000 returns tied to 10 addresses....  A computer can't cross reference and kick out 10,000 returns deposited in one account????

I happen to be watching one of those "Lock Up" shows. An inmate was transfered and had boxes of "legal papers"... well they searched them and there were hundreds of tax returns for fake people. It was investigated and they did a story on it... Federal Penitentiaries are some of the worst offenders for fraudulent tax returns and Florida leads the nation... ya, the IRS can't even tell if it is giving multiple tax returns to inmates in FEDERAL PRISON.
