Very cool idea and I think it'll go places.

However there is no way he'll be profitable at a $20 price point.  The labor alone to assemble the finished parts is more than that. And material costs will be far more than $20 as well.

He also needs to look at the tensioning of that drive belt.  Right now it appears to just be a pin.  That's going to wear out the belt prematurely.
