I'm trying to enter a new route, and the elevation change is showing as 0 even after 5 miles.  There should be SOMETHING there, is anything wrong?

I went ahead and entered the route anyway so you guys could see it.

Could you PLEASE update the elevation?  It takes me forever to put a new route in there and I don't want to do it again...

We don't have any control over this unfortunately. The service that the elevation data comes from is run the by the U.S. Geological Survey. It's pretty much the only game in town for this data, and it seems to go down fairly regularly on the weekends.

The next update to the route tracker will include a 'Reset Elevation Data' function so maps that are created when the service goes down can be updated.

I was going to say the same thing. It wasn't working last night so I gave up. This morning it worked for half of my route and then went dead, so at the end it just drew a "straight line" from the last known point to the end (about 20 miles).

The problem now is that I saved it and it's not in my directory?? Can someone see if it's in there or if it's lost?

It was named something like this:

elheffe99_sanitago_irvine_alicia

and it was a bike route.

Thanks.

The last route saved under your account was on 3/7/2007 at 1:42 am so it doesn't look like the route you created here was saved. Sorry about that, I'm not sure where it could have gone wrong, but I just included a notification in the next version that will pop up a message when there's a problem saving a route.

Well thanks for checking, looks like I'll have to try again.....
