*** NOVEMBER "DON"T LOOK LIKE A TURKEY" CHALLENGE ***

November is the month to EAT turkey, but it's not a good thing if you start to LOOK like one! So don't be a turkey in November!

You can set goals in ONE to FOUR activities.
If you fall behind in one goal, you can make it up in another. (Ex: 0% Swim + 200% Run = 100% Overall)

To participate:
Sign up on this Google spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0An7ZkKfHG1L1dDRMaWtJZnV...

To access the spreadsheet, you will need to enter the following information to logon:
email address: [email protected]
password: challengeforum2

If you can't access the spreadsheet:
Scroll to the bottom, and look at the bottom right corner. If it says, "edit this page," click that link and enter the info above.

In the event of injury/illness, you may revise your goals or request to be dropped from the challenge.
If you achieve your goals before the month is over, you may raise your goal.

Welcome to the Challenge!

Dee

THANK YOU!!! I have been battling all sorts of demons the past couple years, and the only thing that seems to get me going is a challenge! I will check out the spreadsheet and enter my goals.

So hope to see more folks join in, too!

CARRY ON!

Very well. All others who slack off will suffer the wrath of my taser. But I'll save the Extra-Special High-Voltage Cattle Prod just for you. Carry on, indeed.....

My first challenge with a spreadsheet and I agonized over it entirely too long to see if I entered things correctly.  That taser has been so jumpy that I'm afraid I'll misstep.

And Dee, even tho I'm deathly afraid of you, thank you for organizing this challenge.

I'm in, thanks for setting this up! I've been a complete sloth since my IM two months ago and my fitness and waistline have shrunk and expanded respectively as a result. I know I'll feel better once I get back into things, and hopefully this is the motivational push I needed!

Oh goody! I love the smell of fear in the morning! Yay!

But don't agonize of the spreadsheet. If something gets entered incorrectly, you're allowed to fix it.

Once everything is entered correctly, however..... well, that's when I start warming up the cattle prod.

Yay! I smell fear!

Though it may have been a year or so since the last challenge I was in, I know what "participants" mean.

I will put my goal down a little later.

Are you saying that I make a lasting impression?

Oh wait, maybe it's the *taser* that's leaving the impression....

Yay! Tasers! Cattle prods! And people wonder why I enjoy challenges?

I knew I never should have let you know that I'm afraid of you.  Please tell me what you do for a living.  Jeez, hope it's something like cattle farming, physical terrorist therapist, hit man, lawyer, bookie, Lance Armstrong or Tiger Wood's coach, IRS collector, or high school teacher.  I really hope you aren't a daycare provider, doctor, nurse, or pastor.

On my way despite a setback on Sunday! Got my run in today with the running club I coach at my son's school. Just three kids today (flu rampage going on) but we were able to run a little faster and farther as a result. Running from cattle prod in my mind!

So sometime between daycare and high school, you're allowed to start torturing them?

Hey, if you don't like my rules this month, you're welcome to run next month's challenge. Pppppffftttt!

(Each goal counts equally. If you have two goals, each counts as 1/2 of the overall total. If you have three, each is 1/3, etc.)

Isn't new math ultimately the same as old math? Regardless of how you approach it, 2+2 should ultimately equal 4. Ppppffftt again!

Don't like the idea of torturing but as the mom of a teenage son, I think a taser would be useful some time.  I could reason with him better when he was 4 y.o. than I can reason with this 14 y.o.
