Subject: First tri- what to do with wetsuit?
When I'm transistioning to the bike, where in the world do I put my wetsuit? Just lay it there? Won't it be in other's way?

Hello and welcome to BT (and the madness...don't mind the eeeaawws in the WI section).

Most of us drape the wetsuit over the bike rack about where our bikes were.  Or drop it in a heap in your transition spot (you do get a little spot to set your stuff up...just be consciencous of others, you should be fine).

Put your name on your suit.  There are a lot of the same suit out there...always good to have identifiers on stuff!

Pretty much with what maggyruth said.  I put mine in my transition big athletic bag so I don't get it ripped-off or ripped laying out.

i just dump mine in a heap on my "official transition towel" courtesy of the Princeton Club in New Berlin (but we wont tell them they donated that!)............pretty much what magster and fillup have said tho!

I agree with all of the above, i strip it off and let it lay in a pile on my transition towel, though mine is not as cool as davey's!

I've heard of people wearing their bike helmets onto the run, maybe someone could try wearing their wetsuit on the bike. Pretty dang aero if you ask me. Anyone? Anyone?

Hey thanks for the pointers. I've been checking out the site since I started training in June but had no idea there were forums until today! Lame, I know. Cool Anyways, I also had no idea I somehow posted in the WI area...although I AM originally from Illinois, I now live in Oregon. My first tri is the 23rd of this month and it's in Portland. I can't wait and I'm totally stoked!
