Subject: Simon Whitfield and I go for a swim...

I went down to do a practice loop at Tugboat Beach this afternoon (Kelowna Apple Triathlon) and who was there but the entire Canadian Olympic tri team! They are racing in the elite race tomorrow and were taking advantage of the warm up opportunity too.  I was in the water before them but they swam right over me a short while later.  Didn't know what hit me!

You lucky girl!!  I've been at a couple of events where he has been there too.  But I have never worked up the nerve to ask for a picture with him.  *sigh*

Awesomeness!

There's "Subaru Ironman Series in Vancouver, B.C. (Sports)" on channel 211 tomorrow at 1 pm. Meh, we need more TV coverage of Simon.

My hubby encouraged me to, and Simon was alone just for a moment so I just walked up and asked.  I was so nervous I called him Mr. Whitfield.  I'm 15 years older that him for heaven's sake!
