Subject: Finished First Tri!!! On to another?Finished my first tri (300yd swim/ 10 mi bike / 2 mi run ) in 1:08:24. Felt pretty good, pushed hard on the bike, and the run was tough, but still at a decent pace for me (which is slow ). Was middle of the pack for this tri. Swim was good (very choppy ) but hard, Bike felt good (pushed hard ), run went okay (did run/walk ) but quad cramped up, probably because of pushing hard on the bike and should have taken in more fluid on the bike. Should I sign up for another that takes place in two weeks? It's a 600yd swim/ 18 mile bike / 3.1 mile run. Would probably be more BOP for this one.... Should I continue training the next 2 weeks and do another? The other option is to take it to the offseason and build for next year. Thanks to all the BT's for the help. All the good information and support here helped very much in preparation to complete my first tri. |
