Subject: RE: Road Bike Tire Repair...would you buy this? No, I wouldn't. A CO2 inflator is nice, but not fool-proof. Also, glued patches are a PIA especially for a road side repair.
I use that inflator, it works OK except that it gets very cold and freezes when it's humid out. Small.
I usually carry 1 complete tube and try not to patch on the road. I also carry glueless patches which just stick on in case I bugger the first fix and need another (or a second flat ). I carry 2 cartridges. I go without tire irons as I can change my tires with my fingers, but that's a skill only you cna decide that you're comfortable with.
Buy it piecemeal and avoid the glued patches. The glue dries out and then you're SOL. |
