Subject: The Terms of this ElectionIn 1984, it was "Where's the Beef?" In 1988, it was "No New Taxes" In 1992, it was "Ah Feel Yer Pain" In 2000, it was Recount In 2004, it was "Mandate" In 2008, it was "Hope and Change" It seems like the theme this time is "Double-Down" I just saw a video where Stephanie Cutter said "Romney is doubling-down on those comments." I've heard that several times. I've also heard Republicans say "Obama wants us to 'double-down' on his agenda". I think that's the theme of this election. Anyone got any others? Maybe "For America" or "The Middle Class" or "Working Class"? Not starting a flame. I'm just wondering what terms are getting over-used in this campaign? |
