Just started training a few weeks ago. Heard about this site and registered. I've ran a few small races, but wanted to mix things up a bit and go for a tri at the end of August. I'm starting out with a sprint to see how that goes. I went to an open water clinic last night. From the people I met there and the postings in this forum, it is great to see the support people offer for newbs like myself.

Question: How long do I have to classify myself as a newb, newbie, greenie, rookie, etc.??? :-)

Welcome!  I think most people say they are newbies until the first race.  No shame in that.....most of us are newbies, or have just graduated.
