 17 |  Subject: Hello from NCWell I don't want to be a "lurker" so I'm posting! Recently gave up my Trek 8.4 DS to my sister for a commute around college, SO I have an excsue to get another bike. What I learned from the DS, raod/tri bike is the way to go. I serve in the Marine Corps, so I am in decent shape, but I H A T E cardio. Hoping this new hobby may motivate me. I look forward to learning from you all and becoming part of the community. ----on a side note, My first bike MAY be a 2009 Equinox 9.9 TTX (not SSL version). for $1300. Any thoughts? I don't mind spendning the money but dont want to get ripped off. BLUEBOOK puts it at 1303 in "fair" condition. |

NC is a great state to live in for the Tri lifestyle, lots of race venues and distances, so you're sure to find the right challenge. I do find that having a race goal in the future helps motivate me to get off my duff and workout. Otherwise, I make excuses to skip it! I don't have any opinion about the bike you mention, other than be sure to test ride it to make sure you like how it rides and feels! Good luck! |
