To Portland??? So soon, and I never got to visit you in SD! Well, I'm thinking of coming up to Portland for the 2005 Adventure Race, so maybe I can drop by and visit the new homestead! ;-)

Hey Lara, it's great your hanging out in SD until the tri!!!! I am so looking forward to meeting you and racing in California. I'm sure there will be plenty of great tri events in Oregon, and in Washington state as well. I am close enough to travel to those venues and will check some out for next years calendar of events.

I am looking at doing a Sprint in Vancouver, Canada, on Sept. 6 ( Labour Day), they also offer an Oly which I will plan to do next year. It's an ocean swim in English Bay, then a bike and run through Stanley Park....a little bit cool for the swim, but should be a fun event. Maybe think about coming a little further north next year!!!

Pacific northwest weather is the best!!!!

Congratulations! Our daughter is moving to Portland next week, 24 hours after graduating from college. My nervous breakdown is scheduled for Monday afternoon

Seriously, it's a beautiful town, great for outdoorsy-athletic types. Once you connect with the other triathletes there, I'm sure you'll be really happy.
