Subject: North Dallas Bike Ride - 2/25/07

Frisco/McKinney/Allen/Plano (or Dallas in general) BT'ers...anyone up for a 35 mile bike ride tomorrow.  The weather is supposed to be great.  I'm planning on riding at 08:00 in the morning, starting at the intersection of Hwy 380 and FM 423. The route makes a loop through Celina, except for the first mile (rough road), the roads are great and very little traffic.

I'd be all over it, but for the fact that Beth is riding with a friend in the morning, so I get the noon slot.  That and the fact that I'm going to be testing a bike out, so I want to be able to switch from the current bike to the candidate bike at some point.

But it does look like it'll be a great day.

gee I wish I wasn't so late reading about this.. Can you tell me the route that you take, I live within a few miles of that intersection and I'm trying to find some good routes close to me. I usually go up and down rt423 from 380 to 121 or the side roads. I need a better route

Check my blog and entries for today (Sunday).  I have the route mapped out and you should be able to see the route by clicking on it.  I didn't actually ride that route, but put it there so you could see it.

I posted the original thread kind of late (Saturday) and I'm sure most BT'ers already had plans.  I'll post mid week next time. 

Maybe we can get something started here and have regular weekly rides.

I would be into some regular rides. It just depends the schedule, but I think it would be fun to try and get some thing organized.

Anything going on this weekend?

I want to try to do a 30-40 miler on Sat. and then I have a run/ride combo to do on Sunday.

If I kick my illness by then I'll be down for some riding!
