Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() is it me, or is the first episode of every season just flat out weird? Eric's sister is hot but c'mon, not where I thought it was going. Not liking Lafeyette's character as much as I did in the first couple of seasons. Not sure if I will like Tara as a vampire??? or the Rev vampire..
It seems like it always takes me about 2 or 3 episodes before it gets good for me. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I agree. I always make the mistake of writing the season off after the first couple of episodes, then at some point it hits its stride and I’m hooked again. I like the idea of Bill and Erik as partners, and I’m happy to see that it looks as though this season will have more Jessica and more Pam than in the past. Russell was a good character, and I’m happy to see him come back too. And yeah, Erik and Nora are "brother and sister" in the vampire sense, since they share Godric as their maker, but they aren't actually related in the human sense. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I knew they were showing last season, but the first episode snuck up on me. So happy it's on again. Last season Tara was one angry girl... hard to imagine her as a vampire. I really like her character so it's all good with me. I always loved Lafayette. I don't really have a take on him yet what he is doing this season. Looks like there will be some vampire wars/political struggles. Erik and Bill are good together.... I really liked Russel so I can't wait to see what they do with him. Still waiting to see what will happen with the Werewolves and shifters... I don't see it as a big story line though this season. Looks like Sookie is using her powers more. Not sure where that will go... but it's always been a tease with her. The only thing I'm bummed about this season is that Entourage is not on after. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So far... so good. It really was a setup episode for the season. Not sure if anything really happened. I also like seeing "Eric Northman" with his clothes off, so that part was great. Ha! |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Meh. Last season and 1/2...more meh. I find it is running down the same path as NBC's Heroes, which started out great and then killed the golden goose by giving everyone powers. Same thing with True Blood. Everyone is something.....vampire, werewolf, witch, fairy, shape shifter. No one is ever really dead or gone. I'll give it a chance, but it's now a bubble show for me. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So many story lines going on. Kinda glad the little Vampire got the stake. Seemed wrong for him to have any power or Authority. Ok, when Terry was back in Iraq, him and his buddies got high on pills and booze in a mosque? Seems a little too much to take. And where is that story line going? Now he and his buddy are in South Dakota looking for one of the guys. So is Jason a Fairy? Like Sookie. But just doesn't know it. (parents killed by vampires) Oh wait, Jessica would have smelled it on him like last week when she smelled the kid fairy. And another week to wait for the next episode. Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Ya, it's a little jumbbled right now... wolves and shifters, then Sam's buddies are dead??? Faries, Wolves, and Vamps... then ya, Army guys, and Lafaette still a... something. I'm sure it will all shake out. Sookie is getting better throwing people around. I do like Eric and Bill working together. |

Ya, I'm lost with this part too. Faries I don't get this part either. I mean the fairies don't need money so why are they running a club? It has to be something sinister
and Lafaette still a... something. He can now communicate with the dead and his ex dead BF was able to turn into the Spanish witch guy so I'm guessing the spirit of the guy is stuck in Lafayette. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() There are too many story lines now, for sure. I’m hoping they eventually coalesce into something coherent as, to be fair, they usually manage to do. I liked the idea of the powerful vampire in the form of the little kid. Too bad they found a kid who couldn’t act. I’m looking forward to Russell’s big reappearance. That should be fun. More Jessica and Pam is a good thing. The return of Rev Newlin is not a good thing. Every time the fairy storyline emerges, I just roll my eyes and tune out. It’s beyond stupid. I hate that Lafayette and Tara are “supernatural” now. It’s taken the fun out of the characters. At the beginning of the show, you had vampires and humans. Yes, Sookie could hear people’s thoughts and Sam could turn into an animal, but both of their gifts tended to be secondary to any major plotline. Now Lafayette’s a witch, Sookie's a fairy, Tara’s a vampire, Jason’s something—we just aren’t sure what. There’s the other waitress at Merlotte’s who’s also a witch or something. That leaves Arlene, the Bellfleur brothers, and the Fortenberrys as about the only humans left. I feel like I'm watching the Lord of the Rings. Edited by jmk-brooklyn 2012-07-02 11:37 AM |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Ya, the Fairy thing is a little silly. I do like the gorier side of things. Of course you can't have a Vampire without a werewolf. I keep expecting Frankenstein to pop out Lafayette is one of my favorite characters for a whole host of reasons, but the witch doctor thing... meh. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() You are all right about there being too many people with super natural powers. It is a bit overboard. Of course, they started with all that a couple of seasons back. The story line between Eric and Pam had me sniffing last night. So sad he let her go. She loved him. Surprised they didn't throw in a "goodbye" sex scene on that one. Of course, that wasn't really their relationship anymore. |

What's up with the club and needing to bring regular men to it? Are they trying to populate the world with Fairy/real human babies? I liked Lafayette when he was just a normal guy. This whole super power/witch business is silly. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So we at least know it's a woman. I think Nora is too easy. They already laid that out. I was thinking the Autorities main squeeze. I can't think of her name now. Seems the Vampire politics is the main plot... but everyone is off fighting their own demons... litteraly. Still a huge fan. I can't wait to see the next episode. But things are certainly more splintered this year. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() After watching the episode and the scene with Sam, I said to my wife, “If I’m ever gunned down by masked assailants on the front lawn, will you promise not to come running out of the house, directly into the line of fire?” Aaaaand the new supernatural being du jour is… An Ifreet! Had to look that one up. They’re basically like an evil Genie. Genies are made of air, Ifreeti (pl) are made from fire. I like where that storyline is going. I hope the Jessica/Tara catfights aren’t going to be a regular thing. I liked the scene between the two of them at the bar and I sort of like the idea of them becoming Vampire BFF’s. I forgot that Jessica was turned against her will too, so they have that in common. |
