Do you like your cereal to be crunchy in milk?

I don't understand why anyone wants their cereal to be crunchy after 3 minutes in milk. This is a one of the big advertising gimmicks for many of the cereals out there. If I wanted crunchy cereal, why would I add milk? Isn't that the point of milk, to soften it up and wet the gullet? Otherwise, why not just eat it dry out of bag like a 3 year old. Sorry, a bran flake got jammed in my gum this morning like a corn chip and it really pissed me off.

I like  hard cereal crunchy from beginning to end.  If it's soft, it's garbage. Why would you eat garbage Chucky?

In the past few mnths I've started eating oatmeal more frequently.  The oatmeal I like soft.  But then you probably like that crunchy.

Renee and I were discussing Lucky Charms during our recent road trip.  The marshmallows must be moistened by the milk but not remain in contact so long that they become soggy. The marshmallow must be wet but still crunchy.  This of course makes no sense as marshmallows are not supposed to be crunchy in any other scenario (ok, maybe over a campfire).

The "moistened but still chrunchy" things works with just about any cereal.

Mushy cereal sucks @ss. I love raisin bran, but it's a race to finish a bowl every time.

What she said. The marshmallows must crunch when you bite into them. We had at least a 15 minute conversation about this.

Oh, and I'm not naming names or pointing fingers (Tri Take Me Away) but we bought a box of Lucky Charms on Thursday afternoon and they were mostly gone by Saturday evening. And I didn't get any. Lucky Charms that is. Well, I didn't get any either but that's not this thread. That's not any thread, actually. Never mind.

I think that's what they have in the IV at the First Aid tent during IM. A big bag, 90% milk, 10% Lucky Charms.

For some reason I have always hated soggy foods. So I have never liked cereal. Even now I can sometimes eat a bowl of granola from the natural foods place but no prepackaged cereal. I get my fuel from egg whites and grits in the morning.
