Expert  939    Tulsa |  Subject: When to get Hotel for Louisville 2009When should i book a hotel for IMLouisville 2009? Assuming i get in? Do i need to book like a year in advance, or can i wait until Jan? I can do it either way, i just have to figure out where i'm going to stay either now or later. |

I booked my room at the Galt house last Sept, but when my brother decided to come and watch, I was still able to get him a room in April. Since the Galt House is the host hotel, I would think it would sell out faster than most, so you probably have some time. That being said, if your registering for the event, why not book the hotel and not worry about it. You can always cancel. FishHog |

Expert 1226 Chicago | Subject: RE: When to get Hotel for Louisville 2009 One thing to keep in mind is... The Galt House automatically charged 1 night's stay on your credit card when you made the reservation. So make sure you've got the funds to cover that much if you book that far out. |

Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: When to get Hotel for Louisville 2009 I'm booked at the Galt House for $168 a night....I just called to add another night and they said the ironman rates are no longer available and that to add another night (same category room) would be $235 a night. So it behooves one to book the Galt House early before they close out the IM rates.

I appreciate the offer. I'm a big fan of desk-flipping....but I was unable to convince my wife that we need to drive up Thursday night and not Friday morning.
