Cannondale vs Scott

I'm riding the women's version of the Scott Speedster.  It fits me great, and I've had no problems with it (except for a defective short-reach shifter which was immediately replaced for free under the warranty).  It's all in all a terrific bike, but the CAAD9 bikes are also quite nice.

Really, it's all going to boil down to fit.  If the Scott is noticeably more comfortable on the road even after test rides, imagine the difference between the Scott and the Cannondale after a 100 mile ride.  Buy the bike that fits you the best, which sounds like it's the Scott.  Components can be swapped out, but frame geometry is forever. 

They are both compacts. 
Thanks to you both for the advice.  Good tips Kat...I didn't think of it that way (if I can notice difference on short test ride then even 30 miles would make a huge difference)!
I am going to pick up my Scott today so I can ride this weekend.  I cannot wait!

We need more scott converts!

I bought the cr1 and I love it

I also have a Scott CR1 - LOVE it. 

The CAAD9 is considered one of the absolutely best aluminum bikes by lot so roadies. The Speedster... well, not so much. Don't get me wrong, Scott does make some wonderful carbon bikes (CR1, which my wife has one and the Plasma for ex.). I would go for the Cannondale.
