This is cool! Have heard that the top finishers @ the WG tri in Langley on Aug7th will win entry to the 2012 Oliver Half!!

Walnut Grove is an awesome race... one of my favourite community oriented sprint distance events!

The "TriGeeks" team was at Oliver HIM race expo this year.. so it sounds completely plausible

New bike course for this year.. Guess I won't be able to compare my 2010 results with this year's results    Was sort of looking forward to seeing how much my cycling has improved since going clipless and doing a substantial amount of cycling all season :P Oh well...

Please understand, I'm not trying to be a p**** here but was wondering what others thought of the $95 entry fee (granted, it's the late fee and should be more than the early cost). I looked through the site and assume you don't get a shirt with this cost?

I know running these events are expensive and some of the fees collected go to a good cause but?

Had a great day... awesome to run into Haz, Mike and a few others from previous years and events!

Slower than last year by about 1minute... not sure if it was the new bike route or the 120K ride i did on Saturday.. maybe both??

Swim was better coordinated than previous years... and I turned in about the same time...2 minutes longer on the bike than last year (see above for possible reasons)... Run was amazing.. felt strong and fast... and turned in a PB on that part of the course

Desert Half Race Report is still in progress.. a lot of thoughts related to the event and my development as an athlete
