Wanted to put something out there to get things moving on this race; there are 35 signed up as of today (5/24).  I hope to sign up this weekend as well.  Good time of year, potentially wetsuit legal, and a great bike course (mildly challenging but lightly-traveled roads).

Anyone else in?

I would really like to do this race.  I did the B2B half last year, and am doing the full B2B this year, my first iron-distance.  My training book, "BeIronFit", (that I am following meticulously)  says to do a half IM 8 weeks before your full IM, but with this race only 4 weeks prior, I'm concerned the dates are too close together and recovery time may not be sufficient.  Any ideas or recommendations?  I recovered pretty quickly after the B2B half last year, but then again that race was the end of my season and I did not attempt any more races for awhile after that, especially an iron-distance.

This will be a hilly course on the bike, especially near the end.  It would probably not be too wise to do this at race effort, but if you wanted to relay it with someone, might not be a bad option.  You could swim/bike, and let someone run it out.

Rode most of the bike course Saturday 8/25, and it will be challenging.  The first half moves along pretty well, but once you get down near Sanford and start coming back north, you get some long climbs.  Temperature was in the low 70s but was a little breezy, and I was sitting on the wheel of my friend for the majority of the ride, but it is still a good course.  Couple of train tracks to consider (bottle ejectors) but did not notice any dogs on-course, nor terrible roads.  The only portions we did not ride were the end, from Old US1 back up to Vista Point, and the beginning, from Vista Point to Beaver Creek Rd.

Planning to ride the whole course Labor Day Weekend, and run a lap of the run course.

**I** would suggest that the race is too close to B2B.  My 2 cents. YMMV.

Water temp today (9/17) is 81 F, with the rain forecast this week, and lower temperatures than last.  It looks close to wetsuit legal this weekend.

79F today (9/21) with some cool overnight temps coming, highs only low 80s.  Still hoping it hits 78!
