Subject: Would YOU kiss a frog?Seriously. Not figuratively. My wife, kids, brother and I went down to the riverfront park for the city fireworks last week. Afterwards we found dozens of frogs around the ponds and spent some time chasing them and attempting to catch them. (I had one of my new super bright bike lights on a headband, so it was fairly easy to get close to 'em.)
It was a riot so we decided to go out again tonight. We went to a closer pond first and only saw a couple frogs and we couldn't get close to any. Did spot a snake poking it's head out of a hole though. We decided to drive back down to the river for the better selection of targets. After several failed tries, I finally figured out how to get ahold of them. (I was worried about squeezing too hard and hurting them so it took a while to get my technique dialed in.) My daughter kept trying to catch them, and said she wanted to kiss one. (???) We didn't take her seriously, and if I couldn't catch one, well, we figured she wouldn't either. When I did catch one she wouldn't kiss it. Said she "wanted to do it herself." However, the next one I caught I handed to her and before anyone could get a camera out she laid down a smooch on it. Holy cow, did I bust a gut!
I caught one again when my brother had the camera ready and she actually did it again. Dirty Pop-Tart eating Daddy is so proud! Enjoy.
