Run
Comments: Only ran once since the 1/2 marathon on Halloween. VERY out of shape. Haven't been training consistently since August, haven't trained at all since Halloween. (not even biking or running). Calf seems to be healed, but I'm having a LOT of trouble getting back into the swing of things training-wise. Need someone to give me a good swift kick in the rear. Just jumped into this race to help me want to train again. Very happy with my time considering. Only a minute slower than when I was in shape. I'll find out tomorrow just exactly HOW out of shape I really am! What would you do differently?: Train. Post race
Warm down: Light jogging through the course to find my friend who ran with his 11-year-old. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. My splits were EXTREMELY inconsistent, to say the least! By 1 1/2 miles into it, I thought I was gonna DIE! Event comments: We all got finishers mugs with the Jingle Bell Jog logo. Also, IHOP sponsored the breakfast and we had fresh, hot pancakees and coffee after the race! Last updated: 2004-12-04 12:00 AM

Coffee (of course!) in my brand new mug that a patient of mine gave me (made the coffee taste better). One Power Bar.
Light jogging, a few interval sprints to warm up the legs, more stretching.
