1950 yds in the pool, 45 min. I know I'm a newbie, but I wonder how I'll ever link an entire mile together. Guess I'll just keep on keepin' on. :-)

Bad Juju?--no, i can't blame Friday the 13th. Been off my training a bit for no particular reason. Bit depressed about it. And Friday is a REST day simply because I can't fit anything into it.

Will be heading up to Lake Tahoe after work. I'll get my first chance to run in the snow like the rest of you suffering mid and east coasters.

I'm with Dana -- trainiing is just off this week,. and I don't know why -- maybe a rest needed, but that is just too hard for me to do when I know I haven't been training all that hard.

30 minute swim (more kicking than anything)

10 minute whirlpool

10 minute sauna

Can't wait for this yucky training attitude to go away.....

I wish I knew!!

All I know is that whatever it is I have done this week, I don't want to be doing it, so I just make myself plow through the time it takes to finish. Consequently the effort I put in is not quality and I wonder why I am doing it at all!!

I'm thinking of a short break from it all, getting more rest, and reading something other than triathlon and exercise books!!! Perhaps I have overloaded myself. Also -- don't fell like I am improving in anything..... also, my eating is way over the top.... my stable(!(over) weight is the result and depresses me.

My turn to w(h)ine I guess! I will probably think of more.........

Nancy,

Take some time off, relax. I am not sure when your first race is but I am sure you have plenty of time. After the break you will feel refreshed and be ready to Rock n Roll.

Why would Tom Brady be there, isn't he at Disney World. Any way heading for the airport, see y'all in a few days.

Nancy, Take it easy. Just enjoy a little rest. You don't want to burn out already! If you finish a workout and still don't feel glad you did it, it's time to take a break.  Also, don't expect to improve every time you go out there.  Seems like a lot of pressure.

TriMom, I really hope your knee starts cooperating soon.

Oh, wow.  Forgot to put my workout.  Still trying to take it easy on the legs.  Left hip still sore from the marathon.  Ran 10 minutes in the pool, then 35 minutes on the elliptical.  Going to try 45 minutes total running tomorrow, hopefully splitting it up before and after a bike ride.
