Pre-race routine:

Woke @ 5am. Drank large gatorade. Drove to Wildwood, drinking large coffee and eating bagel along the way. Harry drove me to the start.
Event warmup:

Jogged maybe 1/2 mile total, stretched (forgot to stretch front of calves). 15min before start, had hammergel/creatine concoction.

Headwind was strong. Made use of drafting as much as possible. Had pain in left shin first 2 miles.

stretch shins.
