could be that you are clicking on the  link that appears  automatically when you (your buddy) adds a race to his/her race calendar. The link appears even if the report hasn't been written yet, in which case, it sends you automatically the the home page.  (So inspire your pal to get writing!)

Another possibility is that they wrote the report but haven't made it public.
