trouble uploading photo

My avatar disappeared, I followed directions and got a new one up. I tried to change it today. I deleted the old, uploaded the new one, but it didnt' take. I refreshed between the tasks, I left the internet entirely, but when I return, it still shows my old avatar and won't take the new one.

Its the right size and the same kind of file.
