Welcome Matt!

There are several of us from the RTP area here at BT--maybe we should set up training group. You have found a great resource!

Enjoy!

Welcome Matt!  Yet another one in the books for North Carolina.  You must not have wasted any time getting into Azalea - I think that was one of the ones that closed out pretty quick.  I'm doing the MAP tri in Charlotte, and most of the local tris in Burlington, Chapel Hill, Cary, Raleigh, etc.  Look forward to meeting you at one of these!

Again welcome to BT!!!

Jeff

Hi and welcome, Matt! NC sure seems to be a hotbed of triathlon interest. I have done only one sprint tri so far, but I love it and have a full schedule for this year. I'm not racing the Azalea Festival Tri, but I'm racing the Riverwood sprint in Clayton, two weeks after that. I also look forward to meeting jbostic at the MAP sprint tri in Charlotte in March.

Like Shannon said, we seem to have several local BT members. Maybe we should organize a group to race the Triangle Tri in July? We can sure get a group together for training!

If you're like most of us here, you will be spending lots of time on BT, learning about all kinds of things to help you train and race better. This site is fantastic! Enjoy it!

It is good to see I am not the only newbie in Raleigh. I hope to do the sprint in White Lake as my first.
I am starting my full "program" on Monday. I have been getting 12-16 miles of mountain biking in every other day for the last couple of weeks. Mother Nature has been really kind. I would be very interested in getting into a training group.

Hello Matt! I live in Winston-Salem, not too far away..I'm a newbie also - started training in Sept 04..my first Tri is in Lynchburg VA.  I believe my A race will be the Pinehurst Oly in Oct. Maybe we will meet at a Tri somewhere in NC.

I've learned so much from this site, you will too...the forums are also quite entertaining!!

Hey Matt, the Azalea Festival Sprint is a very popular one, and it filled up in about 4 days this year. There may be some folks on BT that managed to get registered for it, but I haven't talked to anyone yet. I'm sure it will be a great time!

Hi there Matt,

I'm probably going to do at least the Mission Man in Burlington (Can't tun down a good sprint in my own back yard)

I'm striving for the Oly in Pinehurst in Oct as well. I haven't firmed up the b and c races yet.

Good luck and have fun. We are getting quite a good group from NC
