Subject: Kids say the coolest things

My 9-year-old son had a few friends over for a sleepover last night.  Since I had a 5K to do today, I went to bed early.  As they were watching a movie, I asked them to keep the noise down to a minimum because I was getting up early the next day.  One boy asked why I was getting up early and my 9-year old said I was going to a race.  The other boy asked if it was a running race. My son then replied, "No, it's a normal race where you swim, bike and run".

I was psyched!  No, I didn't do a tri today, but it's awesome that my son thinks the tri's are the NORMAL races!

LOL... too cute sharon   He's right...  normal races do require swimming biking and running

my 6 year old son can't figure out why i don't win when i go to my races

That's awesome. Yeah my 5 year old thinks I'm going to win all of my races, and go to the Olympics and win all of the events in the summer and winter games. I need to start eating more...
