I'm assigned to Wave #5 going off at 08:25. I wish everyone the best and that are your goals are met. Don't lose too much sleep about the hills. I'm a terrible climber and dread them all the time, but I've done the majority of the bike several times in practice and there really only is one big hill, and it isn't so steep that you can't spin up it. It'll be over in a few minutes, and then you can enjoy a truly gorgeous ride. I hear that for the run, there are Marines on the hill that yell at you to keep running. I fear I shall disappoint them there. Good luck out there. You start in the wave ahead of me (I think I'm somewhere around 8:30??).....I'm sure it'll be a fun one. |
