Went after work today to the pool and was having a pretty lousy swim.. I never had my rhythm and there were kids all in the pool swimming between the lanes (AHHH)

As if that wasn't bad enough.. I went into the locker room to shower and change and someone had gone through my gym bag and stolen all my cash ( only $16) and my cell phone.. ( wouldn't be such a big deal but i have to pay a 50 dollar deductible to execute the insurance)

I had all my stuff in a locker that wasn't locked so I guess some of this is on me but DAMN!

just lost another bit of faith in socitey.

Thanks for letting me vent!

Will

Crappy crappy crappy.  But a good lesson for me - I always leave my stuff unlocked at the gym.  I doubt that makes YOU feel any better though.  Hope your day is better tomorrow

Why not just grab a combination Master lock at Home Depot for $2.50 like I did yesterday? Worked for me this morning.

Can't believe that. I've been going to the gym for three years and I've never had a lock. Hmmm. Could I be pushing my luck?

Thanks Chucky.. I'll be fine.. although I haven't achieved much yet.. i'm on my way....

I told a friend at work today what happened and her reply was something like..
"little do they know that you are a hardcore triathlete and will beat them down.."

my reply...
"Well.. i don't know about that.. i'd probably just be able to run away from them for a really long time !! "

hehe

life goes on...

going back to the gym to run the track (since it's raining) via home depot this time.. I'll have my combo lock in tow..

Tough break!!    I've never locked a locker at the gym, and I really WANT a new cell phone!!   The most cash I have in my bag is $5, so I guess if they went through it they felt sorry for the poor girl!!   Hope tomorrow is a better day!!

Sorry to hear that humanity has raised it's ugly, pimpled face to you.

I keep one dirty, nasty, smelly sock in an outside pocket of my bag for my car key - if they get past that monstrosity, they can have my car key... Everything else stays at home or in the car. And I don't leave much in the car either. I figure if you go through life knowing that most people are trash, all you have are pleasant surprises...
