Subject: The female peloton

Watching the Olympics, it struck me that I never get to see a female peloton - seems to always be predominantly male. Gave me a nice kind of happy feeling to see all these women in a peloton. Beauty!

Also, noticed that they were all pretty lean. I don't know why that surprised me. Maybe because I see all shapes and sizes in triathlon.

Eh, they're Olympians Not to many of those at the local triathlons. If most of us cycled as much as they do per week and had nutritionists and coaches planning our meals, etc, we'd be pretty teeny tiny too.

It was cool to watch though - I don't think I've ever seen a group of women riding together before, I mean, in a race like that. It's always the men...

Longo has dominated French women's cycling for years, it's no surprise to see her riding for those of us familiar with the sport.  Think of her as the Dara Torres of ladies cycling. Tongue out

I taped the woman's raod race just like that men because during the winters on the trainer I think I will want to see it again. I am surprised how much short the woman's race was than the mens though.
