or what they call Track and Field.

Anybody have a favorite Event.

Womens High Jump.....Blanca Vlasic.  oooolaalaa

Mens 400 between Wariner and Merritt will be the first sub 43.

ahhh my favorite!!!!  i love track and field.  i'm excited to see all of it!  one of my old summer track teammates is in the 100m and i will be keeping my eyes on that.  also a huge fan of the field events since that was my specialty.  love love watching the technique of the throwers and jumpers.  and i love the men's 400m - but that could just be watching jeremy warner run though...hmmmm...LOL

I'm a former High Jumper in HS and College so I wish they would show more.  But I know why they don't.

First, they don't have anyone, recently, that can challenge the world record (8.04 ft set in 1993).

Second, they don't have any flashy rivalries like they used to.  Javier Sotomayor (current indoor and outdoor WR holder) and Patrick Sjoberg (previous WR holder) were the previous big names.  Ridiculously different in every way.  Race.  Style.  Attitude.  Everything.  It was awesome to watch them. 

I'm a true high jump geek.

I'll give you Blanca Vlasic too.  Love Amy Acuff too.
