Subject: Nutrition for HIM

I've got an half ironman coming up in Sepember. For nutrition I'm going with

1 gel before the swim

Hammer sustained energy   300 cals/hour for the bike

1 hammer gel/hour for the bike

1 capsule of hammer endurolytes per hour for the bike

1 hammer gel every four miles on the run

1 capules of hammer endurolytes everyy hour on the run

Does this sound good? If anyone has advice please respond, first HIM

+1. I'd kill the gels on the bike if you're already taking in 300 calories per hour.

For my first HIM I took a gu right before the swim.  I had a Snickers bar and a Pay Day I cut up the night before and put in the freezer for the bike.  I had it in my Bento Box. It was still good and cold so it didnt' make a mess.  I also took a salt tablet every hour.  I went through 3 bottles of Gatorade on the bike.  I contunued with the salt tablets on the run and only had 2 gu's on thr run with water every opportunity.
