So week tmrw....whos ready...i'm excited to see the new course...not that running down sawyer and back wasn't fun but around the lake seems better.....

I'm trying to decide which is the smarter way to go...on one hand i'd like to beat last years time but on the other hand this is a training run and i plan to run 18/20 on saturday so ripping up the first 13 with another 7 togo doesn't seem conducive to injury free (and fun) running......

I drove the course last weekend. The sections that go around the lake will be absolutely beautiful in the early a.m. I have some concerns about the Main St. section. Hopefully the construction will be complete enough. The course really is pretty flat except for some rolling hills around mile 9 and 10.

I sent an e-mail to Midwest Sports Events to ask about aid stations. The reply was, "About every two miles, with water, Gatorade and Hammer Gel." Perfect! I use water, Gatorade and Hammer Gel exclusively so I am expecting no GI issues.

See you at the start line!

Thanks for the scoop on aid stations Pete, I was wondering about that too.

I'm underprepared but looking forward to it.

I participating in this fine sporting event. I'm kind of bummed about the course change. May have been because they got zero support from the Town of Summit Police.

Thanks for the info on the aid stations. I am planning on wearing my fuel belt, but mostly because it makes me look so good.

I still haven't decided. I was wanting to do it, but with the foot issues, I'm not sure it's so smart. I'd pretty much have to treat it as a well-supported training run. So, I'm thinking I should just opt out.

I'll probably be wearing my Fuel belt also...because that's what all of the cool kids are wearing!

All signs are pointing strongly to a yes for me tomorrow.  My longest run over the past few weeks was a 7 miler, so I know it won't be a spectacular performance.  But, this one sounds really fun so I really wanna do it.  Will be donning the donkey should I make it.

"It won't be a spectacular performance"...yeah, right.

Congratulations on winning the Athena division today! It was a pleasure to meet you too.
