Subject: RE: jelly beans vs. sport beans??Go to the candy isle and look for something that looks tasty to you and has carbs and little fat. Lots of gummy type stuff works. Sugar babies are good and different. I even eat candy bars the small 25-80 calorie oness while doing IM training and racing. You just need calories that your body can digets easily. Stuff with chocolate has fat which isn't as good but I can handle it...chocolate covered pretzels are my favorite on long rides. Candy is about 10% the cost of gels, sports beans and the like and I find it tastes better. I don't eat candy other than long rides..so a little reward for doing my long stuff.
