Subject: gearing for a bike trainerThanks to bear I was able to get my first tribike cheap. Good news it was cheap bad news it had champy parts. champy is not bad but my bike trainer wheel is shimano. They have rear cassettes that will fit on a shimano hub with have the champy spacing.
Now I am not sure if I should go with 12-23 or 12-28. I am thinking if I ever get a race wheel I would want to get one with a shimano hub because I not sure if I will go with campy on any other race bike, and I could reuse the cassette.
On the trainer would I be better off with the 23 so I would have to work on the hills or would 28 be better because it would be more of a real world environment for me? I guess that is ultimately the question.
FYI I plan on riding the IMKY course alot this winter on the computrainer since bike is my limiter and I suck on the hills. |
