Subject: Thank You!
I just wanted to put a big "THANK YOU" out there too all those triathletes that make this sport so much fun and so inspiring.

I can't tell you how happy it makes me to get and see all the encouragement during the races. People cheering for other athletes, helping them along the course and pushing them when they are tired. I've personally been touched by many of these people and have witnessed it to others. It inspires me to act the same to my fellow athletes.

I love the camaraderie of the sport!

No worries

I share your enthusiasm and feeling of gratitude. The other day I was running and there was an older gentleman out "running" as well. As I passed him I called out, "Looking good". I wondered later what he may have thought.

Couldn't agree more.

I'll never forget my first tri when some guy blazed past me near the start of the bike leg (when your swim is a billion times better than your bike or run that happens a lot).

He only said something like, "looking good man, keep it up!" but it really gave me a noticeable boost and helped me calm down.  Especially since I was definitely not feeling (nor looking no doubt) particularly good at all!

I later found out that he was the eventual winner.

I totally agree! During my last race I got more than a few positive remarks as I passed people or was being passed on the bike and run. I did my best to do the same for others because I know how good it makes me feel when someone does the same for me. I love that about this sport! I don't see that much in running only events...I wonder why it is so much more prevalent in the tri world?
