Subject: Desoto TI wetsuit 07 vs 08??
I have a chance to get a 2007 TI Wetsuit for a really good deal ($350)....and a 2008 TI wetsuit for a good discounted price ($420). I've researched both and know the technical differences, but money is kindof a factor, and what I'm really looking for is if the 08 model is worth the extra money?? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Which model? I have the First Wave top, and Speed Tube 5 bottoms. I love it. I preferred the pants to bibjohn. I would wager that I can get out of it faster than anyone else can in their 1-piece. I would definitely spring the extra cash for 2008. While money is an object it is $70.  Plan on losing much weight or gaining much? If not go 2008.

I've got the same DeSoto top/bottom as Aaron and I'm really happy with them as well.

As far as whether the $70 is worth it, that is really a judgement call. I'm not sure you'd see a measurable difference if you tested both suits, but for some people the piece of mind might be worth the extra money.

If you know the technical differences, then you know what they've changed.  It's worth it if those changes have value to you (I think, e.g., lower neckline and easier to trim legs in '08).  Unless you need those added comforts, then the wetsuits will likely be equally as 'fast'--don't think they've made any major changes to the rubber or flexibilty of the suits.
